R.I.P. NATE DOGG 3/15/11

Last night, news of the death of soulful singer Nate Dogg was everywhere...news, internet, especially my Facebook. There is no doubt that this musician had a big impact on my generation.

Born in Long Beach CA, he formed a rap trio with Snoop Dogg and Warren G from the Rollin 20 Crips gang. Known for his soulful singing style, not only did he made many appearances on Tupac songs, but also peaked to #3 on the Billboard hip-hop charts in 2001. His last album self-titled

Nate Dogg was finally released in 2008.

Nate Dogg had a string of health problems that may have contributed to his death at the early age of 41. In December 2007, he suffered a stroke which reportedly rendered the left side of his body paralyzed, yet his voice was not affected. But soon after in September 2008, Nate Dogg suffered another stroke which would alter his singing career and therefore health. It is unclear what may have been the cause of Nate Dogg's death, though health scares do seem very likely.

Let's take a moment to re-live Nate Dogg's inspiration to our generation...
