What are the best web hosting/service sites to upload iWeb designs?
I think this just refers to what is the best web host.... because at the end of the day your just uploading it via FTP.
However, i suppose MobileMe, would be the one that people would suggest... and that's because it is 'built in'.
I done a quick google, and a site that come up multiple times was BlueHost (http://www.bluehost.com/) but i don't know if they are actually any good.

First impressions:
I like the version with the blue colored area.
The placement of "consultant" seems odd to me. I'm not sure if you're a Sales Rep Consultant (and it didn't fit on one line), or if you're a Sales Rep and a Consultant.
I'd be curious to see what the card looks like if the letters within the blue area were black rather than the light color.

No, but she's cute, which is better than P.C. or Mac (although I like P.C. as a dry comedian.)
Cute Tmobile < Funny Apple
Personally I loved the mac ads, but you can have to much of a good thing

I'm going to agree here, MBP+cheap PC would likely be the best all around solution.

I had an old broken mini knocking about. It was a pretty useless paper weight so I wanted to do something more creative with it.
This what I got, still yet to make the base, but basically, hollowed it out then disassembled then reassembled the clickwheel so it took less space. Now I think I am going to gift it to my tutor (also a big apple fan) when I leave school:

From what I've read, I don't honestly think it can be done (at least on a Mac). Or at least not without going through a lot of work, and even then. Your best bet is to just back up and important files on the Windows partition and then delete it to start from scratch.
EDIT: Okay, looks like there may be a way after all. Check the guide here. (http://guides.macrumors.com/Extend/Resize_Boot_Camp_Partition) You might have to buy some software to do it though. And there is the chance the data on the partition will become corrupt from doing it, so you might end up having to reformat the partition anyway.

It does not surprise me that Apple is having issues with 10.6.4. Beta testers reports are consistently ignored with a "we know best" attitude from Apple coders. There are dozens of reports of Airport problems on 10.6.4, which is an issue at such a basic level, you feel would have been picked up quickly and dealt with. Ditto increasing issues with Flash and CS5 on 10.6.4 but of course Jobs would say this is Adobe's fault. On the face of it, it is looking like there is a consistent lack of effort to resolve any issue relating to Adobe products on Apple's part. It is very petty and very much not in the interests of end users.
However we Mac users must realise we are now the poor relations and anything not to do with iPads or iPhones (and I admit to having both), is of small import nowadays.

I believe this is all true... Hence my boycott of iOS and all iDevices.
Yes, I do have 2nd Gen iPod Touch but will not buy any other iDevice out of principal... (I didn't even upgrade to free iOS4!)
Apple are clearly understanding only one type of language - language of your wallet - so until majority starts to "speak it" not much will change...

No mention of gameplay style,
Mario & Sonic at the Olympics is a Strategy RPG with a First Person view and some random Tank Battles now and then...
...What do you think gameplay/game styles are going to be, it doesn't take a genius...

Has anyone used Amarra for audio playback? I cannot really find any new reviews. Just stuff from the early version 1 where it seemed to be good but lacking some stuff.
Thoughts?
I'm looking at finding something to stream my music to my HT bit perfect and not up sampled or down sampled first through the Audio Midi settings.
My other option is hardware based with something like the Olive O6HD music streamer.

Just a quick question, not related to Apple but this is the only tech forum I still really use :p
Friend of mine gave me an AdWords voucher, but it won't work on my account. Did some searching and found out it's because I've already used a promo code and Google don't let you use more than one on the same account.
But the voucher has my friend's name on it, so I was wondering, will it even work on other peoples' accounts? Or will it only work for his? Because if it works for any account, I'll just sell it on.

Try logging back into your account. Did you remember to log out (NOT Quit) iChat from your upstairs machine before you logged in from downstairs?
Quitting iChat doesn't mean you logged out. Logging out means disconnections, not quitting an application.

I think you'd be surprised how much knowledge the human brain can store. The problem is specific data access. Recalling "memories" is something that has been a basic task of computers for decades.
I know that the brain can store an enormous amount of information, but wasn't Watson programmed with the equivalent of over 1 million books? I've read a lot my entire life, but nowhere close to that. Getting back to Jeopardy, I think there were several questions when Ken knew the answer immediately but Watson beat him on the buzz in. You could see how frustrated he was getting as the computer hit the button precisely time after time. The humans had no chance on the reflex end of it. In that way it really wasn't fair as the machine could do it over and over again.
I really enjoyed watching and I did some reading about the Watson project on my own too. What impresses me the most is the humans that created this lighting fast machine. I hope it gets put to good use helping people.

These "updates" have so far added up to more data than on the original Discs! Worst Office packages ever.
It's because they patch the same files each time. However, Microsoft's Office for OS X patching isn't quite as good as Apple's as yet.
If you add up the amount of data you download in each OS X patch it will probably also add up to more than the OS X install DVD (excluding the gigabytes of drivers). Of course, you can always grab the combo update, which will give you the latest versions of the files and be much smaller.
If you reinstall Office from your discs, then install this patch, it will weigh in at 332 MB. Of course, you'll have to install the automatic update updates in 12.1.0 first, which is another 180 MB :D. I'm sure I've downloaded well over 1 GB of patches for 2008 (and many, many, more for 2004) since they came out.
Why don't they try realising a complete version for a change instead of selling half-assed ones
But if they did that, why on earth would you buy Office 2014?? :D You need to buy 2011 to get scripting compatibility with Windows Office. Of course, Office 2010 for Windows now comes with a 64-bit variant (for 65535+ line Excel spreadsheets! I think I'm one of the few people who's used them...). Which Office 2011 wont support. You'll want Office 2014 for that...

I saw this video a while ago, but I'm first commenting on it now.
The only thing that I didn't like about it is that woman. Who is that woman and why is she there interviewing Steve Jobs? I'm not feeling her at all.

Yep the broken iPod cable/wire is the way to go. It works better if you're a girl\woman, then you can act very clueless. Because everything *thinks* girls don't know anything about computers.

my vote is for the XT ati products are denerally better then nvidia one and tend to last longer
but thats just my 2 cents worth
ROFL! What?!
They both are equally good companies and have equally good products.
How does the ATi "last longer?"
As for the thread question. I would say the 850XT because its definately is better over the 6800GT.

Thanks for responding to my devil's advocacy. How things tend to work around here is that any ideas like this get batted around out here, perhaps discussed amongst mods and admins... and if they pass muster, then added to the list of things to do. Some of these things can take months or even years to even reappear in some form.
Personally, I'm not sure that this idea will be given much priority, but that's just a hunch based on previous experience as I have no say in this process. Saying that, it would also certainly generate an interesting amount of data for those who like stats and graphs as well.

Also, when I probed deeper into the HP settings, there are no CUPS+GIMP print drivers for the LaserJet 1200. There are such drivers listed for most of the other HP models (though not all), but not for the LaserJet 1200.
It's weird the way the LaserJet 1200 still appears twice under "Model name" in the Printer Setup Utility's "Add Printer" dialogue.
