I have 32GB of RAM in my Mac Pro and I got the RAM from Superbiiz, it was a steal compared to OWC and Apple's prices. It looks like they have the RAM for $137 (http://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php?name=D3-13R8GH1&title=Hynix-DDR3-1333-8GB-ECC-REG-Original-Server-Memory) per 8GB stick, so that'd be just shy of $1100 plus tax and shipping.

Use the Cycle jQuery plugin. You can find the info and download here.
http://jquery.malsup.com/cycle/
Easy to configure, and plays nice with lots of other scripts.

All of my music is playing instead of tracks 1 to 11, its playing 11 to 1...
How do I reverse this.... I've only had iTunes for a month or so, and can't find an option to do this. :(

OP, I can definitely appreciate your point of view. One thing that's always interested me is how professionals make use of OS X in their workplace.
For example, as a law student, I'd love to know about the limitations, benefits, etc of using a Mac in legal practice (and prior to law school, I would have loved to know about using a Mac in law school). I'm sure doctors, engineers and others have similar questions or thoughts to share. The trouble is, I have no idea where I'd put such a thread beyond "Community Discussion." The problem with that forum is that it is very broad, and any questions about Mac usage in a particular field would be more Mac rather than community based.
Or perhaps there are other sites out there specifically tailored for this purpose and we should turn our attention there instead. Either way I think some input from the powers that be would certainly be helpful. :)

Hey guys,
So... I put the battery back into my computer, connected it to a power supply, andddd... *drum roll*... nothing. Nada. It won't turn on. The light for the power supply isn't on, as if it doesn't register that it's plugged into a computer. The battery shows 5 lights when the little button is pressed, but I guess that doesn't matter.
So I decided I might as well crack her open and have a look to see if I can find any moisture or obvious signs of breakage. My warranty is already up (plus massive water damage would void it) so I can get away with opening it up without any repercussions.
I followed an online guide, took up the keyboard... and it was filthy. Everything was covered in a thick layer of dust, plus a lot of accumulated fluff beneath all of the keys and in lots of the crevices.
http://i54.tinypic.com/i6mu61.jpg http://i53.tinypic.com/14uurd0.jpg
So I cleaned most of it very gently with some clean non-fluffy cotton buds and tweezers. I put it all back together and tried it once more - but no, no difference.
I'm going to take it into an Apple Store to see if they can tell me what's wrong with it (other than a faulty fan, maybe?)

Is there any site out there kind of like one of those things where you complete an offer and refer 5 people and get an ipod but insted you pay like $10 and wait until 20 other people send $10 then they ship you an ipod then it would be the next persons turn to get an ipod after like 20 people sign up?

I apologize if this has been asked before but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere.
You can't seem to find the answer because you haven't been finding it. it's been answered many times.

Pretty loud is pretty much an understatement.
Though the G5 XServe we have is marginally quieter than some of its Poweredge brothers and sisters, it is still comparing a jet taking off to a slightly smaller jet taking off.
I'm not really concerned about the loudness, loud things don't bother me that much, and I probably won't have it turned on that much.

There's nothing more foolhardy to expect young people to NOT have sex. LOL @ Chastity.
Few things are more powerful (or natural) than that urge. Especially on college campuses.
What a bunch of idiots.

This is definetly one piece of software I would like Apple to put into iLife. Monster stuff at present only uses Amazon and is pretty flakey for international support and more obscure material - which is the reason I have held back getting it.
from what i've heard 1.5 will address a few of these issues. they tried getting info from imdb but they license it out all weird and blah blah blah.. check out their blog (VERY bottom of the front page they have a link in small letters) for more details

Well your right about it all being frustrating, and yoour also right about Apples view of Europe... I mean the Euro is at .97 Euro Cents to the dollar, but buy a laptop here in Europe, and you'll get charged an extra 1-2000 Euros for the same machine. At IBC I asked about this and was told that things are cheaper in The US, because the guys there buy more computers than the Europeans.... hhmm I wonder why?
Also nobody knows who Apple is, after all they haven't even opened a store in Europe at least not in Germany.
Apple will never get a large piece of the cake from across the pond, unless they start to live as they preach, and "Think Different(ly)"
Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Apple fan, but I would love to see them start to do right by the people who have stood by them all these years, and yes Mr. Jobs, some of the people are actually living outside th US.
Sorry for the rant, nowhere else to vent that built up frustration.....

Hey, I have been looking at doing some high-end video work in the future and the person I work with uses SDXC cards in his cameras. Is there support for them in my MacBook? I want to make sure before I say I can help, and then embarrassed for not know what's up with my own laptop.
I own a late 2010 i7 MacBook Pro
Cheers!

Seriously, what's with these lyrics turning up in so many hip-hop songs?
Are these the most overused and repeated lyrics in hip-hop (or is it hip-pop now?)
Is it a tribute to the Sugarhill Gang? Do they think that if they use those lyrics it connects them to the SHG and makes them relevant in the hip-hop community?
Are the rappers just lazy and can't think of some other words that rhyme to fill that verse?
Is it a marketing technique- using familiar lyrics to make the listener think that the song is familiar and therefore something they like?
I'm trying to draw an analogy with other music...... I guess it would be like sticking the Smoke On The Water intro into the middle of a pop/rock song. Or sticking: "Layla... you got me on my knees." in the middle of a song.
Can anyone think of any other lyrics that are recycled as often as these?

You should have the "real"s move up and down the columns... like elevators. ;)
Or change the colors of the Real and Fake to fake the viewer out.

When you say "works fine when I set those rules manually in Firefox but not when I set them under network settings" do you mean Firefox ignores the settings in network settings? Does Safari correctly use the ones in Network Settings. If so I suspect the fault lies with Firefox and you have no alternative to use it's own settings. Such is life with not-quite fully Mac native applications.

as in the bundle do you mean the folder on the desktop?
He means did you copy the icons to your project folder, not just link them (box checked when you dragged them in)?
