Does this mean you can still hook up a PS3 to a 2011 iMac?
This is about video-out, not video-in.

That's an interesting and possibly controversial statement.
Putting Macromedia to one side... what beef do you have with Adobe?
Any apps in particular? And where does the past come into it?
Only curious 'cos Adobe are the people I rely on to get work done...
The frameworks that Adobe use for their applications are far older than those that Macromedia use but both are rooted in the 1980s and are a significant CPU drain compared to techniques for modern Mac OS X software. Apple was unwise to allow the same core of an application to run on Mac OS 8.x, 9.x and X. Even AppleWorks has two separate applications which call various Carbon modules. What works well on one operating system is counterproductive on the other.
Considering that Adobe converted their software to run on Mac OS X, they should have used Carbon Events to allow Mac OS X to use the idle time for other processes rather than using the old event loop. It is apparent from the way their applications use CPU while idle that they have not chosen the more efficient path but only the more expedient one.
Part of the problem with converted applications is MetroWerks' PowerPlant framework, which Macromedia and many, many others use. It has used the old event loop too. However, they redeemed themselves by creating PowerPlant X, which uses Carbon Events. I believe that the patched versions of Macromedia's applications are using PowerPlant X but are simply inefficiently coded.
Sorry to those who have been reading this for the past two years. It's an old, sad story that should have changed by now. I want to say something nice instead.
Here's to Brad and Ryan! :) They're the good guys.

OK, I just reset it and put all my apps back on, only this time it is NOT jailbroken. It is doing the same thing.
You can't just assume that jailbreaking is the cause.
Has anybody ever seen this problem before?

Apple's update pattern on displays has been more or less infrequent lately. Just buy now, there is absolutely no idea about the next gen ACD.

yeah dude, iphones are locked to ATT or Verizon. U can get a factory unlocked but they are expensive. Gevey SIM is your best bet if you wanna unlock an iP4.
U can probably get a plan from T-mo for 500 min voice/200MB data for like 45 bucks. For texting u can use Google voice app.

It's a phone so small, that it can't even be used. But it's made by Apple, so I couldn't resist buying it!Is the price suitably small too? ;)

I'm sure that you can get it repaired at the apple store in New York City. It shouldn't take them too long either. However, since your MacBook model is a decent amount older than most, I would call them up before you head to U.S.A. and have them order the parts directly to the store. From there they should be able to get you fixed up and on your way :) I don't know about cost though...you'll have to ask apple.
Cheers!

I work at a Best Buy. I swear to the guy upstairs, if another person calls me asking if we have Wii's in stock, I'm gonna snap.
I work in the computer department. We're the first option on the phone menu.

Yes, I am actually doing this on here.
I need to sell my iphone in anticipation of the 3G iPhone. My Phone just came from apple today, and still has a plastic cover on it.
8GB
I live in Los Angeles. Local Sales are preferred, give me some offers.
Its New, but I will post pictures none the less when I can.
I am more than willing to Unlock the phone for use on any network
I'm willing to accept any reasonable offer, but am looking at $350 +
Thanks

OWC is making a Mac Pro PCI Express SSD aren't they? I haven't heard about it in what seems like a few months.
They are doing lots of things. They have been talking about the SSD firmware updater for OS X for ages now and it still does not exist. I guess the PCIe SSD requires relatively lots of work while the market for it is small. It may come some day.

I don't know guys, I'm sold on the Mac Pro; after owning the 2.93 iMac the pro feels much faster, and I'm talking just basic tasks so far. The Pro i went with is the 3.2 quad with a 5870 so although the proc isn't much faster, it is night and day, I'm not sure what does it but i'm definitely happy.
Congrats on the new MP!
Put a fast SSD in that pup asap! :D

That's not something you'll go through if you buy a modern Apple computer.
Why don't you UPDATE the software from 10.1.2?
Do you know you can buy the much faster intel mac mini for just a few hundred?

The Apple Learning Interchange was used for collaboration, not just publishing lesson plans. It had a members list and places for interaction so educators could connect with and work with each other. I don't see how the iTunes U can replace that. This seems like a step down.

A friend told me I can't boot OSX from Raid. So would that mean I cannot install Lion on my HD if it is currently in the optibay where the superdrive used to be?
You don't have any kind of RAID in your computer and your friend is wrong too. OS X should boot fine from the ODD bay, Windows not so well.
